COVID-19 Update

May 4, 2020 *UPDATED: June, 23 2020

We hope that your families have been able to stay safe and healthy throughout this COVID-19 health crisis.  Thank you for your patience and support of ETC as we navigate this challenging time.

Over the past few weeks, ETC has successfully launched Collaborative Classroom, a series of online classes and workshops designed to bring theatre education directly to you.  We are very proud of our team of teaching artists who have worked hard to adapt to an online platform, allowing them to grow, learn, and connect with you in new ways. Creativity and resilience are exactly what is so powerful about theatre arts education! We believe that these skills are exactly what our community needs right now, and our commitment is stronger than ever to offer these skills to you. We will continue to offer virtual and innovative classes and workshops in the months to come. Stay connected by subscribing to email updates here

ETC, as well as Arlington County Parks and Recreation, both have the same goal in mind of putting the health and safety of our campers and staff as our number one priority, as well as providing a positive and fun experience for our youth.  On Monday, we announced prior to Arlington County’s decision that we were already moving sessions 0 - 4 of our camps to an online platform.  Now that the county has cancelled, we will be moving all ETC summer camp sessions online. To view our new online camp and class schedule for sessions 0 - 10, click here

All families registered for camp were sent an announcement listing their options and the full refund deadline of June 1, 2020. You can still choose which combination of programs works best for your camper and transfer to different sessions or classes for no additional fee.  If there is a difference in cost, we will refund you the difference.

If none of the online offerings work for you and your family, we will issue refunds for all summer camp sessions upon request. We encourage you to consider a few other options, including:

  • Donate all or part of your tuition to ETC.

  • Receive a refund minus ETC’s camp system transaction fees* (9%)

  • Receive a credit to put toward a future ETC program (credit may be used through Dec 31, 2021)

Right now, your support is needed to enable ETC to continue offering creative learning opportunities. Your tax-deductible donations of any size will help our nonprofit continue to offer programming, pay our teaching artists, and come back strong when we safely can.

On behalf of everyone at ETC, be well, be safe, and keep creating!
