COVID-19 Update

December 18, 2020

We hope that your families are continuing to stay safe and healthy throughout this COVID-19 health crisis.  Thank you for your continued support of ETC as we navigate this challenging time.

ETC quickly adapted this year to create successful online programming through our Collaborative Classroom, a series of online classes and workshops designed to bring theatre education directly to you. No program or topic was off limits - we helped kids create short films in our ETC-on-film camps and club, created virtual performances for Main Stage Residencies, and provided classes for students 3-103. All while teaching virtually!

We know our students are experiencing more screen time than ever. With this in mind, we design our Collaborative Classroom programs to be engaging, active, and interactive. At ETC we encourage creativity and help students find their own voice through storytelling, improvisation, physical comedy, singing, dancing, filming techniques and more.

This fall, we listened to the needs of our community and created Neighborhood In-Person Classes.  These outdoor classes in your neighborhood will be back in Spring, when the weather warms up again. By offering online and in-person options, we are bringing theatre to you in whatever way you need it.

ETC is closely monitoring information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local health and government authorities in order to make decisions regarding what kinds of programming we can offer.  We will be holding Spring Break Camps this year- hopefully in-person, stay tuned for updates! We are optimistic about summer 2021 and are planning to hold some Summer Camps in-person. We will make final decisions about in-person, online, or hybrid camps as the camp season gets closer. We will be continuing online Collaborative Classroom classes throughout the summer to provide options for everyone!

Our commitment is stronger than ever to offer these skills in a format that works for you. We will continue to offer virtual and in-person innovative classes, workshops, and main stage residencies in the months to come. Stay connected by subscribing to email updates here.

Right now, your support is needed to enable ETC to continue offering creative learning opportunities online and in-person. Your tax-deductible donations of any size will help our nonprofit continue to offer a variety of programs, pay our teaching artists, and bring the arts to the community in unique ways.

On behalf of everyone at ETC, be well, be safe, and keep creating!
