3rd-6th

Get ready to create a play! Students’ imaginations can run wild as they call the shots in their own creation. Campers will be guided through writing their own lines, creating plot, characters and setting. Through a series of workshops, campers will work together to explore narrative structure, character development, conflict, and movement. If possible, the camp will end with a performance of the campers’ plays at the Lubber Run Amphitheater on the last day for family and friends.

Note: This camp has two different county locations. Week One will be focused on playwriting and held indoors at 3700 S. Four Mile Run Drive. Week Two will be focused on rehearsing the original plays and held outdoors at the Lubber Run Ampitheater. There is ample shade, but in the case of inclement weather, we will follow Arlington Parks and Recreation camp cancellation guidelines.
