Part Time Positions
ETC believes in compensating artists for their time, engaging communities in meaningful discussion, and helping people of all walks of life unlock their own potential through theatre arts. In schools, community centers, churches and corporate events, ETC brings art to the community.
Spring Break & Summer Camps - A perfect job for theatre professionals and college students. Topics include preschool, Creative Drama, playwriting, film, and acting technique for ages 3 - 18. Openings run from one week to a whole summer of opportunities.

Main Stage Residencies (original musicals for kids) - Currently running at three sites in Arlington, the two month ETC musical residency helps students and artists explore their creative sides to build a fully realized one-hour musical.

After School - Teaching artists lead short 1-1.25 hour long classes with kids K-5th grade in various theatre topics. Classes typically start 2:30pm or later.
Devising Hope

Teaching artists who can devise, or lead conversations with a specific population and assist the participants in creating scenes, monologues, etc. Into a devised theatre piece about a specific community topic. Examples of topics include racial equity, loneliness, or misunderstandings.
Creative Age - Daytime programming at senior sites and community centers helps engage seniors in the DC metro area through theatre arts. Use your knowledge of theatre history, dramaturgy, plays and musicals to engage seniors!
Administrative Positions
Administrative Assistant
Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant supports the work of the Managing Director and the Administrative staff by handling financial, personnel, marketing, and problem-solving tasks as assigned by the MD. Candidates should be comfortable with project management and coordinating teams. The position works with one other full-time staff member, part-time core staff, and seasonal teaching artists, in addition to the board. The administrative assistant meets with the Managing Director at a minimum of once a week, and is given the option to work remotely.
Essential Responsibilities

Processing invoices, check requests, deposits, background checks, and state forms

Interfacing with staff, community partners and participants

Executing other program-related support services
Skills and Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required, experience in arts administration is a plus

Appreciation of the arts is required

Working experience in a similar role and willingness to learn

Ability to work independently, be flexible, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with accuracy

Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, and Google Workspaces
Compensation
Hourly rate is between $15 - $18 depending on experience and skill level.
