Part Time Teaching Artist

ETC believes in compensating artists for their time, engaging communities in meaningful discussion, and helping people of all walks of life unlock their own potential through theatre arts. In schools, community centers, churches and corporate events, ETC brings art to the community.


Year Round Offerings – Daytime Teaching Positions


Creative Age – Daytime programming at senior sites and community centers helps engage seniors in the DC metro area through theatre arts.  Use your knowledge of theatre history, dramaturgy, plays and musicals to engage seniors!


School Year Programs


Shakespeare in the Schools – Daytime workshops and performances at schools around the DC metro area let you perform and teach by day!  Show off your knowledge of classical literature and performance by helping middle and high school students learn through theatre.  Performances at corporate events are great opportunities for teachers, improve experts, and performers alike.


After School  - ETC’s teaching artists are professionals looking to round out their performing career with a rewarding experience in education.  One hour enrichment programs at schools in the DC metro area help students learn theatre while reinforcing their curriculum.

  • Have expertise in Spanish, Music, Art, Science, or History?  ETC runs specialty ESOL, STEAM, and SOL driven enrichment classes, and we are looking for qualified teaching artists just like you.


Summer Camps – Daytime Teaching Positions

ETC has nearly 30 sessions of summer camp running in 2020!  A perfect job for theatre professionals and college students (especially theatre, music, art, dance, or film majors), openings run from one week to a whole summer of opportunities.

School Year Opportunities


Main Stage Residencies

Are you a director, choreographer, production manager, or composer?  Help elementary students bring their ideas to life while devising their own musical!  Currently running at three sites in Arlington, the two month ETC musical residency helps students and artists explore their creative sides to build a fully realized one-hour musical.


Office Work (Year- Round)

Administrative Assistants –Help our full time office staff stay on track! Learn the ins and outs of running a theatre company – from marketing to operations, social media to development, you’ll get the chance to see how everything runs behind the scenes!
