So Many Camps, So Little Summer...

This is our 4th week of summer camps this year & we've held 5 different camps. There are 7 more weeks to go and 24 more camps! The end of this week will see our first live performance of the summer at Julius Caesar: A Shakespeare Camp. Teen campers spend 3 weeks working on the play and directing younger campers in scenes from it while also rehearsing their own scenes. "Shakespeare Camp" or "Summer Classic" as it's been known in the past was ETC's first summer camp all the way back in 1998 and it's still going strong. The teen leadership model of programming has been at the core of many ETC programs and camps over the last 22 years, including Camp Comedy(Studios), Musical Revue, & Page to Stage.

Take a look behind the curtain:

Teen campers watch and give direction to youth campers.
Campers use stairs to maintain 3' distance while performing a scene together.
Ms. Mary demonstrates using fabric to represent a bloody wound.

Next week we call "action" on our first ETC-on-Film camp of the summer. Ahead, look out for comedy and musicals galore! With 24 camps still to come, which one will you sign up for next?
